Supporting people with developmental disabilities since 1969, Jarc partnered with ANEWBrand for a full rebrand—who then brought in Hard Refresh to transform Jarc’s online presence through a website built to serve their entire community.

Jarc is a Michigan-based nonprofit supporting people with developmental disabilities and their families through housing, advocacy, and inclusive community services. Following a rebrand led by ANEWBrand, JARC partnered with Hard Refresh to translate their new identity into a user-centered digital experience. The Challenge

Jarc’s mission—empowering people with developmental disabilities to live full, connected lives—was clear. But their old website wasn’t doing it justice. With dense content, dated visuals, and confusing navigation, users were struggling to find the information they needed. Families looking for support, donors hoping to get involved, and job seekers exploring opportunities were all met with friction. After a rebrand led by ANEWBrand, Jarc was ready for more than a facelift. ANEWBrand hired us as a web partner who could bring Jarc's new identity to life online—with clarity, accessibility, and structure that matched the strength of their mission.

Our Approach

We implemented our All-In-One Website Package to guide Jarc from discovery through launch, streamlining every phase of the project. It began with a comprehensive audit and stakeholder interviews to uncover how families, job seekers, donors, and volunteers were interacting with the site—and where they were getting stuck. With those insights, we developed a new site structure designed to align with their user's needs.
